Hello , and welcome to the final edition of The Adviser for 2024 .

There are many things that could be said about the past twelve months , but one thing they have not been is uneventful ! Elections have taken place in over 50 countries across the globe this year , with the US Presidential vote last month causing a ripple of conversation about what Trumponomics version 2.0 could mean for markets worldwide . Back home , our own General Election in July saw a Labour Government take power for the first time in 14 years , followed by a historic Budget delivered by Chancellor Rachel Reeves in October . We ’ ve also experienced another year of change in the regulatory world , perhaps especially around the retirement income space , and rapid development in fintech , with AI and techdriven research platforms reaching heights of functionality and efficiency which would have been unthinkable even five years ago . The implications of all of this activity – whether home or abroad , in our own sector or further afield – are still becoming clear . However , one constant amongst the chaos is the knowledge that Simplybiz will be on hand to keep you up to date with all these developments , what they mean for you and your clients , and how we can support you through it all .
