CAN CLAIMS SERVICES GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS ?

At Guardian , we strongly believe in the value of a claims service that truly supports the customer when they ’ re most in need of it . That ’ s why we created our bespoke service , HALO , in the first place . And now we ’ ve made it better still . Through specialist partners , HALO offers policyholders and their immediate families a broad range of medical , legal and financial support services when they make a claim . And now , with the addition of neurological occupational therapy partner Krysalis Consultancy , anyone claiming under a critical illness cover will have access to specialist advice and support to help them deal with the consequences of a neurological diagnosis . Given about one in six people in England 1 have a neurological condition , you can imagine just how valuable this is . It can make a real difference to people living with Parkinson ’ s or motor neurone disease , and to those who have suffered a stroke or injury to the brain , spine or central nervous system . In 2021 , Krysalis launched its Neuro-Logical service in response to an ever-growing gap in provision of consistent community-based neurological rehabilitation ; a gap widened by a lack of knowledge and understanding of the needs of this group of people , and deepened by the COVID-19 pandemic . The impact of a neurological condition can be huge , both for the person affected and for those closest to them . Many find it difficult to function and interact as they did before , which can be very upsetting . At Guardian , we want to help our critical illness claimants live the best life possible following their diagnosis , and we believe adding Neuro-Logical to our HALO claims service helps us do this . Neuro-Logical offers assessment , support and treatment for people living with a neurological condition . It focusses on the challenges they and their families face at home , helping them to understand how their symptoms can impact on relationships , wellbeing and everyday activities . And it seeks to empower them , by providing support that increases their wellbeing and guiding them in finding the best treatment . Right now , access to specialist neurological support is more important than ever . In 2021 , Neurological Alliance data 2 showed there were over 10,000 people who ’ d been waiting more than a year for an NHS neurology or neurosurgery appointment .

Krysalis understands first-hand the challenges individuals and their families face following a neurological diagnosis . The consequences of these conditions can be broad and far-reaching , from
those living with a ‘ hidden disability ’ to those with profound needs who struggle with daily or commonplace routines .
When you ’ re in the position of having to claim against a protection policy , a payout alone is never enough . That ’ s when having a good claims support service really matters .
