The first few months of a new year are usually seen as a time for fresh intentions and purposeful change . We believe this also fits in the context of Financial Conduct Authority ( FCA ) regulation , as we have in recent times seen an evolution in its style which we expect to gather pace into 2024 . So , what do we mean by a new style of regulation ? Well , we believe this can be summarised in three points : a shift towards outcomes-based regulation ; a renewed focus on the threshold conditions ; and a new data-focussed approach .
